In this stunning sequel to the highly acclaimed Daughter of Smoke and Bone, Karou must come to terms with who and what she is, and how far she'll go to avenge her people. Filled with heartbreak and beauty, mysteries and secrets, new characters and old favorites, Days of Blood and Starlight brings the richness, color and intensity of the first book to a brand new canvas.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone was declared a "must read" by Entertainment Weekly, was named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.com, and The New York Times called it "a breath-catching romantic fantasy."

If you thought Daughter Smoke and Bones was a treat, well you are in a surprise for the sequel. Days of Blood and Starlight takes readers into the minds of multiple characters. This approach was totally unexpected but it hit the nail on the coffin. I was completely taken. In this highly anticipated sequel, no one is safe.

This series has some great characters and my heart went out to Karou and Akiva. They are still facing tough decisions when it comes to the war and their forbidden love. The stakes are high and deadly as ever. I was on pins and needles as I read this book. The writing is superb and the author has a gift for storytelling. She lures you into her world and keeps you turning the pages.

I would recommend this series to anyone who will listen. This series has become one of my favorites and I am looking forward to getting back into the world that Laini has created. It’s one that you'll have a hard time forgetting. Period.
