I went into this book blind without reading other reviews and I have to say that Damage Done really captured my attention; I mean you’re hit with some major shock value at the beginning of this book. It was so unnerving at times that I couldn’t help but see how everything unfolded. Oh Lucy/Julia! There was something nagging at me as her story unfolded. I just had a feeling about her and I had to follow through and sift through the bread crumbs.
Even though the twist was foreshadowed, the past/present narration was well written and kept my attention. This book had me rethinking my definition of a psychopath, especially with everything going on with mass shootings around the globe.
As a psychological thriller, Lucy’s unreliable narration definitely worked for the most part. However, I didn’t feel the connection with the secondary characters. Overall, Damage Done was a good read.
